The largest cycling event in Hungary the 2nd Central European Tour is organized by the Cyclingsport 2000 Foundation. Our foundation has organized the Tour de Hongire in the last three seasons. The Cyclingsport 2000 Foundation is commited to organize challenging cycling races in Hungary.

Schmitt a successful fencer in his youth, won two gold medals at the Summer Olympics. Schmitt was also formerly the Vice President of the European Parliament and the Chief of Protocol of the International Olympic Committee.

More than 100 riders of 18 teams from 8 nations participated at the 2nd Central European Tour, organized by Kerekpársport 2000 Alapítvány. We were honored by the presence of UEC president Mr. Wojciech Walkiewicz.

The 2012 edition of the Central European Tour raced from Szerencs to Miskolc, passing Borsod Abaúj Zemplén countys most spectacular landscapes.
The peloton rushing by the Danube in Budapest
For the second time in its history the CET finishes in Budapest the capital and the largest city of Hungary. The largest in East-Central Europe and the seventh largest in the European Union. It is the country\'s principal political, cultural, commercial, industrial, and transportation center.

Cycling legends Djamolidine Abdoujaparov and Claudio Chiappucci were present at the press conference of the 2012 Central European Tour. "It is great honor, that cycling greats such as Djamolidine and Claudio accepted our invitation for the presentation of the next edition of our race." Said, main organizer, Mihaly Sutko.
High on security
CET organizers make an effort maximizing the security of the peloton. The riders raced from Isaszeg to Budapest under closed and secured road conditions.
